Creatures Besieging the Sutton Farmhouse — Kelly, Kentucky

My name is Billy Ray Taylor and I am providing this account to the Hopkinsville Police Department. On the evening of August 21, 1955, I was visiting the Sutton family at their farm outside of Kelly. Around 7 in the evening I went to the well to draw some water and saw a bright object come over the trees to the southwest and drop down beyond the tree line. I told the family and they did not believe me. About an hour later the dog outside started barking furiously, then went quiet and hid under the house. That was the last we heard from the dog. Elmer Sutton and I went to the door and saw a small creature approaching from the tree line. It was about three and a half feet tall, had a large round head, enormous yellow eyes that reflected the light, and arms that nearly reached the ground with clawed hands. Its skin appeared silver or metallic. We shot at it with a shotgun and a .22 rifle from less than twenty feet and it flipped backward and then just floated back up into the shadows. After that they kept coming. They were on the roof, on the window screens, looking in at us from outside. You could hear them on the roof. Every time we shot one it would just float or roll away and come back. This went on for several hours. Finally we all piled into two cars and drove into Hopkinsville to the police station around 11 PM. The police came back to the farm with us. They did not find the creatures but they found marks in the grass and brush at the tree line.
