Refund Policy

1. Overview
Paranormal Observer offers digital content and software-as-a-service subscriptions through Observer+. Because our subscription provides immediate, ongoing access to digital features and services, we generally do not offer refunds on subscription charges. This policy describes our approach in full, including the limited exception for billing errors.
All subscription billing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Your subscription details and billing history are accessible from your Billing page at paranormalobserver.com/billing.
2. No Refund Policy
All Observer+ subscription payments are final and non-refundable. This applies to both the monthly plan ($4.99/month) and the annual plan ($39/year).
When you subscribe to Observer+, you receive immediate access to all premium features for the duration of your billing period. Because digital access is provided instantly and cannot be "returned," we do not issue refunds for subscription charges already processed, whether for partial use of a monthly period or partial use of an annual period.
If you cancel your subscription, you will retain full Observer+ access through the end of your current paid billing period. No partial-period refund will be issued for the unused days remaining after cancellation.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel your Observer+ subscription at any time, without penalty. To cancel, visit your Billing page at paranormalobserver.com/billing and follow the cancellation steps. You can also contact billing@paranormalobserver.com if you need assistance cancelling.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your Observer+ features will remain active until that date. You will not be charged again after cancellation. You will receive an email confirmation when your cancellation is processed.
4. Billing Error Exception
If you believe you were charged in error due to a technical failure on our part, you may be eligible for a full refund of the erroneous charge. Examples of billing errors include:
- Being charged after a confirmed cancellation was already processed.
- A duplicate charge resulting from a technical fault during checkout.
- A charge at an incorrect amount not matching the plan you selected.
To request a review, email billing@paranormalobserver.com within 30 days of the charge. Include your account email address, the date and amount of the charge in question, and a brief description of the issue. We will investigate and, if we confirm a billing error on our part, issue a full refund for the erroneous charge within 5 business days.
Changing your mind about a subscription after a charge has been processed does not constitute a billing error and is not eligible for a refund under this exception.
5. Annual Plan Proration
If you choose to switch from an annual Observer+ plan to a monthly Observer+ plan, proration is applied automatically through Stripe's standard subscription proration system. The unused value of your remaining annual period will be applied as a credit toward your next monthly invoice. Proration takes effect immediately upon plan change; you do not need to wait until your annual renewal date to switch.
Note that proration applies to plan changes within the Observer+ tier, not to cancellations. Cancellations are governed by Section 3 above.
